Meredith Salenger

Salenger grew and was raised in Malibu. She loved performing for friends and family as an early child. At the age of eight years old the mother of her child took her to her very first class in acting. The John Huston directed film Annie the actress played a small role in which she was called a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger has also appeared in a range of television advertisements. Salenger's first starring role was as a character in her role in the Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann which starred John Cusack and Ray Wise The film was the first US film to be awarded the golden award from the Moscow Film Festival. She also won "Best Female actor in a dramatic" at the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the fun-loving Natty. When she was 18 she starred in another four films, among them A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she moved to Harvard in order to further her studies.
